The Vision Quest – solitary introspection in nature – has been used for countless generations as a tool to “know thyself”. This self includes all levels of our experience, from the physical surface of life to the deepest core of Pure Consciousness, our True Source. The Quest is a profound tool for healing our darkness (judgements, beliefs, traumas, wounds) and awakening us to our True Spiritual Heart – the Divinity that we already are!
Vision Questing is perhaps best known today from the Peoples of American Indigenous Nations but questing is a universal human expression and examples can be found among religions, mystical traditions, and indigenous cultures worldwide. The Vision Quest reveals the Truth of Who we are and the path of service to humanity and Creation.
The Source Within offers seven Questing programs. The Traditional Quest, a four-day fast from all things familiar, is foundational to the others. And new for 2026, we are offering a retreat designed for people just starting their Spiritual Journey.
All programs are held on our land near Dolores, Colorado and involve camping. Participants need to bring their own camping equipment (gear list will be sent with an acceptance letter). We provide meals with accommodations for special dietary needs.
